At the beginning of 2022, DoggyRade began a two-year sponsorship with UK flyball team ‘Lightning Strikes’, who in March 2022 qualified to compete on the main stage at Crufts, where they truly rose to the occasion with an incredible performance.

According to the team, “DoggyRade helps keep our dogs in tip top condition when flyball racing. So far this year, each of our four teams have gained personal best times. DoggyRade is helping to keep the dogs hydrated and raring to go, so they can give it their all in their next race.”

On day two of Crufts, the quarter-finals took place where Lightning Strikes placed 2^nd overall, taking them through to the semi-finals the following day. This time, they competed against what turned out to be the fastest team in the competition, Road Runners Beep Beep. This was a thrilling race in which Lightning Strikes gained two club records. Unfortunately, this was where their Crufts journey ended with Road Runners Beep Beep breaking Crufts fastest ever record. If there was a good way to be knocked out of a competition, this was certainly it!

So far this year, the four Lightning Strikes teams have gained two 3^rd places, four 2^nd places and eight 1^st places in various competitions. In addition, they have been selected as one of the teams to represent Great Britain at the World Cup Flyball Event in Belgium this May. We can’t wait to see how they get on throughout the rest of the year. We hope the extra few weeks of DoggyRade helps them to more podium finishes!
